We’re familiar with the adage, “It takes a village to raise a child,” but how many of us think of ourselves as villagers. What, if anything, changes when we take this metaphor seriously? This Sunday we will recognize and honor those volunteers who serve as RE teachers as we dedi- cate ourselves as well to our role in the lives of the youngest members of our community.
