What is the AUUF Podcast?
The AUUF Podcast is a collection of audio recordings from the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Auburn Alabama. We regularly record the sermons of Rev. Diana Jordan Allende and the programs of Lay-Led services. It is a great way to keep up to date with the happenings at the AUUF. Each week we will update the streaming media file. We will only have, at most, the programs for the previous two weeks online at any one time to conserve limited server space. If you would like to have each weekly program downloaded to, and stored on, your personal computer you should subscribe to the AUUF Podcast using iTunes following the directions below.
How do I listen to the AUUF Podcast?
To listen to a podcast on this web page you have to click the above PLAY button once. The audio file will then start to load. As it is loading the recording will start playing automatically. Users can jump forward and back by dragging the playhead left or right.
How do I subscribe to the AUUF Podcast?
You must have Apple iTunes installed on your PC/Mac. If you do not have iTunes installed, you may download it at no charge at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download.To subscribe to the AUUF Podcast click on the Podcast icon on the left menu. iTunes will automatically open and will subscribe you to the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Podcast. iTunes will automatically download future pod casts for you once subscribed each time you start the iTunes application on your computer.
How do I manually subscribe to the AUUF Podcast?
If you click on "Full Feed" underneath the podcast icon you will be taken to a page with all the subscription details on. If you copy and paste the url (in the address bar) to any capable RSS reader you will be able to subscribe to the AUUF Podcasts
How do I save a sermon?
To save a sermon you have can subscribe to the Podcast using iTunes or other Podcast capable RSS reader. This will then download a copy of the sermon to your PC/Mac so you can listen to it whenever you want and store it as long as you want.
How do I share a program with a friend?
E-Mail the link to this page to your friend. They can then load the page and listen to the podcast on their computer.
I click on the Podcast icon above and it says page cannot be displayed
To subscribe to the AUUF Podcast you need iTunes or any other Podcast capable RSS reader. If you get a message saying page cannot be displayed when you click on the icon this means you do not have an RSS reader installed on your PC/Mac. You must first install this and then try to subscribe again
Do I need an iPod to listen to the files?
No. Podcasts can be listened to on your computer or any portable player that supports mp3. However, the iPod integration with iTunes is superb. It allows you to take your saved recordings with you wherever you go.
