Church Playground Supervisor and Assistant The Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is hiring at least two playground staff to supervise outdoor childcare for each Sunday service and coordinate childcare for special events. Playground personnel are paid $20 per Sunday. The lead supervisor will have additional duties and will be compensated an additional $60 per month for such duties. Hours are 9:50–11:30 a.m. on Sundays. Qualifications: reliable, responsible, and experience working with children. CPR training is a plus. Background check required. Playground supervisor duties: • Attends each Sunday 9:50–11:30 a.m. • Plans activities appropriate for a wide range of activities • Instructs playground assistant and adult volunteers • Oversees children and activities on playground • Buys snack with prepaid Kroger card • Makes sure two paid workers are on the playground each week • With Nursery Committee, arranges childcare for special events • Greets children as they enter church and introduces self to parents • Evaluates playground toys and requests new ones as needed • Knowledge of dealing with disruptive behavior appropriately
Playground Assistant • Hours 10–11:30 a.m. on Sundays • Oversees (assists) children and activities on the playground • At the end of playground, supervises cleanup of playground with children’s assistance. • Signs hours in notebook each Sunday • Contacts supervisor when he/she cannot be at church giving advance notice • Knowledge of dealing with disruptive behavior appropriately Application (PDF) |

AUUF Nursery Caregiver Job Description
The Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (AUUF) is looking for a nursery caregiver to provide care for infants / toddlers (6 to 36 mo.) in our nursery on Sunday mornings. The AUUF prefers to have nursery caregivers who have formal training and supervised experience in fields related to child development, have been recommended by three non-family members, have infant/child/adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, and are knowledgeable about health and safety standards and general first aid. Interested individuals who do not meet these qualifications, but are willing to learn are encouraged to apply. Formal background checks will be required.
AUUF Nursery Caregiver Responsibilities
The AUUF Nursery Caregiver is responsible for (a) setting up the nursery at the beginning of each caregiving session, (b) providing care to infants/toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years, and (c) closing down the nursery after the children leave. In addition, the caregiver is responsible for implementing weekly program administrative duties and maintaining contact with AUUF Nursery Committee Chair.
